Mariam Sarkissian is particularly passionate by research and discovery of contemporary, little known or unfairly forgotten vocal chamber music repertoire. She has made many with the , labels, appeared in recitals and chamber music concerts in Europe, the US and Israel.
As a singing teacher, Mariam Sarkissian elaborated her own based on the belcanto tradition schools (Everardi, Lamperti and Garcia schools) and created the concept of the Balance Triangle (), intended to form the tool of expression for various singers and speakers. Her book I think, therefore I sing or The Praise of Cognitive Belcanto, which includes description of her method and her work with opera singers, was published in 2018. In 2019-2020, she is invited to teach at the .
